'Toy Story 3' Get's 2 Bad Reviews

Meet The Only Two People Who Hate Toy Story 3 Film is subjective and that means that even though a group of people might watch the same movie, they’ll have different opinions on what they just watched. And most of the time, all of those are opinions are valid. It’s impossible for an opinion to be wrong. Most of the time. Sometimes though, something is so self-evident that it moves beyond opinion. When everyone in the world gets together and agrees that yes, this is really good, that one lone voice standing in the corner and shouting the opposite isn’t just a different opinion, it’s a wrong opinion.

Until a few hours ago, Toy Story 3 had a 100% fresh rating on the review compiler Rotten Tomatoes. It’s a feat almost never accomplished by modern movies. The few other films to carry the 100% fresh rating all pre-date the modern era or they were reviewed by a small handful of critics, usually fewer than forty or fifty. Yet with more than 130 reviews in, Toy Story 3 had a 100% fresh rating. Enter two assholes.

New Wall-E Trailer

A brand new full trailer for Pixar's Wall-E has launched and you must watch it. If you've seen the leaked international trailer from a few weeks back, this one is still completely new and different with a whole load of new scenes and never-before-seen footage. Wall-E is going to hit theaters this summer and show not only the humans in the movie, but all of us, how to fall in love again. It's just a simple story about a robot and the only friend he's ever had, that's all we need to tell you. They've finally revealed the full story in this trailer and I encourage every last person to watch it.

I'm all out of things to say about Wall-E that I haven't already said. I can tell you it's going to be breathtaking, it's going to be groundbreaking, and I hope it's going to change our lives. Be ready to catch the latest Pixar film in theaters this June. Spread the word, if you love this trailer as much as all of us, then tell all of your friends to check it out, too!

You can also watch the full Wall-E trailer in High Definition on Apple

'Pirates of the Caribbean 4' for 2011

The fourth "Pirates of the Caribbean" film is definitely happening, according to a scoopster for Aint it Cool News.

The best news? It ain't gonna be anything like the over-bloated snore-inducing "Dead Man's Chest" or "At World's End". More precisely, it'll "indications suggest the film's story would be far more contained than its predecessors, allowing for a budget-friendly downsizing. On the opposite end of the spectrum, there's been unsubstantiated talk that a fourth film would go the other way completely...think in terms of ultra fantastical (dinosaurs, Jules Verne-esque floating fortresses, etc.)''

I'm taking bets now - who else thinks Johnny Depp will be a no-show?

In addition, the same scooper says new sequels to "Cars" and "National Treasure" are on the way, as well as a 3D remake of "Tron".

Where are we going with this?

Cant they make new stories? By the way, I cant wait to see 'Rambo 18' (Stallone will rock on this one)

Beowulf DVD Review

by: Doug
From: MovieBlog

I had the glorious task of watching Beowulf on DVD today. It was the director’s cut and I was looking for new scenes, but if they existed - they escaped my notice. I am guessing some of the battle scenes were a bit more violent, and a few shots simply escaped my eye. None the less, it was great to see the film again and although I preferred it with 3-D glasses; the picture quality was incredible and the film was still very watchable a second time around.

The special features on the DVD included: A Heroes Journey: The Making Of Beowulf, Beasts Of Burden: Designing The Creatures Of Beowulf, The Origins Of Beowulf, Creating The Ultimate Beowulf, The Art Of Beowulf, Deleted Scenes, Theatrical Trailer and Previews. I will not go into details on all the special features but will discuss a pair of my favorites. I am not a huge fan of special features; but this set kept me entertained (which is certainly a break from the norm). My love for the film fueled my interest, and I assume those that purchase this DVD will be in the same boat.

A Heroes Journey: The Making Of Beowulf

Love it or hate it, motion capture takes a ton of fucking work; and peculiar work it is. All the neon props and costumes made it look like everyone was acting in the world of Tron. To see the confused looks on the actors faces the day before shooting was hilarious, even when they first started acting in the suits - they seemed embarrassed. Only when the art director showed them concept pictures and “made them up” as costumed characters did their countenances start to change. They realized that they were skeletons for the characters that they could now see, take pride in and ownership of. Tom Hanks shows up in this segment for a quick pop in to say word to Zemeckis, and we also see them pitch Grendel to the man that was born to play him - Crispin Glover.

This segment was my favorite part of the special features. I thought this mini documentary was put together quite well.

The Art Of Beowulf

The art direction on this film was insanely thorough. The concept paintings are delightfully detailed and were very inspirational for the overall look of the film. They created additional miniatures, paintings, props and costumes as points of reference for the actors and animators. With so many talented artists on board, it made me wish they used costumed actors as opposed to motion capture. When possible I always prefer “man i suit” and I certainly think they had the talent here to make Beowulf motion capture, animated or live action. The artistic team behind this film was outstanding and it was a pleasure to see them build a world up from the script.

In Conclusion

This film is an over the top, testosterone-fueled adventure tale where demons are slain, legends are born and kings are made by way of the sword. I love this film and think it should be a staple in every home library. It reminds us that: forgotten mistakes can live on to haunt us later in life, it is essential to know your weaknesses, and when fighting a dragon always go for the tender underbelly.

The only thing I would have added to the special features is a Crispin Glover / John Malcovich commentary track; that would be the stuff of legend.

The rock a man to fear

I don’t know why Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is so determined to steer clear of action films. I mean, aren’t biffo movies the stuff he’s made for?

Yes, I’ll admit that Johnson does seem to have a bit more talent, and obviously more charisma, than someone like Sylvester Stallone but he really does need to remember that there would be no ‘The Rock : Movie Star” if it weren’t for the action films he did earlier on – films like “The Rundown” and “Walking Tall”.

Whatever the case, Johnson is following up his role in Disney’s “Witch Mountain” -which itself is his follow-up to Disney’s “The Game Plan” - with another kiddie picture – he’ll play “The Tooth Fairy” in a new Fox comedy of the same name.

Michael Lembeck, who helmed the second and third installments of "The Santa Clause," will direct the film, which sees Johnson play an ordinary man who's brought in to try to save the tooth fairy kingdom. So it’s essentially “The Santa Clause” all-over-again, right?

The only thing going for the project, as I see it, is that Lowell Ganz & Babaloo Mandel, who wrote such terrific comedies as “Parenthood” and “City Slickers”, were involved in writing the screenplay.

'Starship Troopers 3' Trailer

“Starship Troopers 3 : Marauder” is on the way and StarshipTroopers3.net has found the official trailer on You Tube.

Enjoy. Cause i ddnt.

Realy a expect this to be on the top 10 list "Crap of The Year"

Jumper 2

Jumper was made for a sequel; so with not the least bit of surprise I announce the news from an interview collider had with the director. Thanks to moviesonline for the hookup:

The concept for Jumper 2 is definitely a stretch. So much a stretch it feels the director is just hashing ideas more then talking about what the sequel is all about. Collider had an exclusive sit down with the director where he talked about the sequel and spilled the following;

“I actually have a ton of ideas for the sequel because this is whole new arena for me and so my mind was in overdrive the whole time and most of the ideas I came up with we either could tease or just save it for a sequel and so it’s…this power can be used to leave this planet, this power can be used ultimately to go back in time, this power can be used if you go and work for the government you’d be the ultimate Jason Bourne.”

So the sequel hasn’ t been written. but it has been announced, this does not seem like a good sign to me. The first installment was very frustrating, I enjoyed the use of the power and the camaraderie between the two jumpers, but their was not enough background info, the twists were lame and the story overall was a “boy chases girl” pile of bullshit. The above ideas that director throws around sound like the result of a killer hash session (we have all been there).

If they didn’t introduce so many lame tie ins from the first film i may have given the sequel a chance. As it stands right now, I have about the same desire to see Hayden Christensen in jumper 2 as I would Star Wars 7. I wish this franchise would teleport far away from earth, forever.

Aladygma, is it Cloverfield 2?

Apparently from readers this is a new JJ Abrams project that is REPORTEDLY the code name for Cloverfield 2. It is however important to note that JJ Abrams has more then one untitled covert film in the works. He also has an untitled supernatural project in the works. So what is Aladygma? I have no idea but if you do shoot us an email. Cloverfield 2 whether its named Aladygma or not is well under way.

Production charts have made it known that Drew Goddard will write CloverField 2. Cant really complain since the first movie was fantastic. IS it just me though or is JJ Abrams getting all the credit? Matt Reeves the directors name is hardly mentioned, nor is the writer. Anyrate I am sure you are all stoked for a sequel since so many of you loved the movie.

Paramount has to complete discussions with Reeves, Producer JJ Abrams and scribe Drew Goddard. Then of course they will have to spin together another tale for Cloverfield. Once that is complete what storyline can they go with? Another story out of the first break out? Or perhaps follow up on the ending of the first?

4 People Per Screening at The Hottie & The Nottie

I am one of the many people who just wish Paris Hilton would disappear off the face of the Earth. I really have no idea where she gets all these so called "fans" but it is driving me crazy. Do we really need to see the moment Paris gets out of jail.. LIVE! I don't think so.

This is why I cherish this next bit of news. Our buddy John at The Movie Blog did a little mathematics to figure out how bad her new film, The Hottie and The Nottie did. According to his calculations only 4 people went to see the film on each screen. Now that is sad.

I think this says alot about what the public doesn't want. We don't want to see Paris Hilton in another movie.. PERIOD. I think she has already put her name all over everything and everyone has finally gotten sick of her as well. I have to thank all of you for NOT going to see The Hottie and The Nottie. It means a lot to me.. It really does..
