Pirates of the Caribbean 4 Rumors

Terry Rossio, co-screenwriter of the first three "Pirates of the Caribbean" films, has debunked the various rumors that are going around about Pirates of the Caribbean 4. They ranged from Johnny Depp getting $56 million for the fourth movie to Tim Burton directing to Sacha Baron Cohen and Russell Brand co-starring. Rossio writes:

For the record, none of the recent Pirates 4 rumors have any truth, including the so-called record 50 million dollar payday for Depp.

Some pretty funny stuff, though. Sacha Cohen? Tim Burton? Studios are way too protective of their franchises for that sort of thing.

The only thing that has been officially announced so far is that Johnny Depp will return as Captain Jack Sparrow in the fourth film.

    Phew! I was afraid they wouldn't make a 4th. But the 3rd ended just saying, "I'M NOT THROUGH! I'LL BE BACK!!!" U know? I'm so darn happy.

    I'm a huge fan of Johnny Depp, I can't wait until the fourth one comes out! I've heard it will come out around 2011 - 2012, I hope it's sooner!

    YES!!!! i just finished drawing a friggin HUGE portrait of jack sparrow, 5 feet long...and i just can't wait till pirates 4 comes out..and i think it's fountain of youth or sumthin...but u kno what i believe..i think jack sparrow found the fountain of youth, and he's still alive 2 this day, but he's runnin around as "johny depp" roflmao!

    i recon that jack gets the fountain of youth and barbosa gets killed by the crew, jack then becomes captain again, the kid of will gets killed and then will stabs his own heart and then ends the flying dutchman

    I love Pirates of the caribbean! Yays! I am so happy that they are making a fourth one. I hope they at least have one scene of will and elizibeth, and then just focus on jack and his new adventure. Can't wait!!!

    I can't wait for it to come out!!!!!!!! I'm so so so sooooooooooo excited!! I don't know if I can wait 2 years for it to come out, I llove the name too "Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides," but I wonder how much of The Fountain of Youth is going to be it comsidering they were talking about if it was going to have to do with it all. I really hope it does though it would make a really good story line. ^.^

    I just whant to know what the fricken name of the movie is going to be! i mean iv heard so many diferint names for the dam movie. is it pirates of the caribean founten of yuth,or pirates of the carribesn on stranger tides,or pirates of the caribean dead men tell no talls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I love the series! But i just hope it stops sometime soon. For all we know they might wreck it! If that happens.... someones gonna get hurt real bad.... I would be okay if they didn't make it. But if it comes out i will be first in line at the movies. No doubt.
    Just stop at the fourth so jonny can retire, and we can all be happy with the films we have.

    pirates is my most favourite series. i wish never ending of parts of it. i like the jhony depp the most.i can`t wait for part 4 please release it AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.
