'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' Music Video Features New Footage

So far all the footage we've seen for this summer's big bad blockbuster sequel Transformers: Dark of the Moon has been spectacular. The teaser trailer was a nice setup for the story, the theatrical trailer was full of plenty of pretty special effects and explosions, and the most recent trailer featured some cool new shots as well. Now Linkin Park has released a promo music video featuring their song Iridescent set over plenty of new footage from Michael Bay's fighting robot extravaganza. Essentially, this is just another trailer with the help of some music from the soundtrack to get everyone more excited. Check out the music video below!

'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' Featurette on the Skydivers

A badass new featurette has been debuted over on Badass Digest (via SlashFilm) today for Transformers: Dark of the Moon highlighting the skydivers that appear in the movie. We've seen them many times before, as they're in the trailers and have been mentioned by Michael Bay time and time again, the wingsuit guys who jump out of that helicopter. The video focuses on J.T. Holmes, one of the "precision skydivers" who worked on the film. It's awesome seeing these guys just jump off, and jump out, of pretty much anything. It's finally just a few more weeks left until we get to see Transformers: Dark of the Moon!

New 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' Trailer

When the last trailer for Transformers: Dark of the Moon hit, I have to admit that I was pretty much blown away. All the action looks impressive as hell, and I think this has the potential to be the best of the series (I actually wish this whole cover-up for the space race was part of the first film). Now we have another brand new trailer for the summer blockbuster sequel, and I'm even more pumped to see this in theaters. There's plenty of great shots of Chicago getting decimated, and a final shot of Optimus Prime that's just fantastic.

Bay Denies 3D Problems

There are few filmmakers as outspoken as director Michael Bay, who we can always rely on to comment on various rumors on the message board for his website MichaelBay.com. The latest rumor for him to address is the one about his upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon having problems with its 3D. At the same time, he hinted that the first trailer, or as he calls it, an "announcement piece," will we seen in front of the next two 3D movies, TRON: Legacy and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Michael Bay and Paramount Reunite for Untitled Alien Movie

Michael Bay is reuniting with his Transformers studio, Paramount Pictures, for yet another movie about aliens.  Heat Vision reports that the Bay and the studio are putting together an untitled alien movie that’s being described as a cross between Cloverfield and Paranormal Activity.  While it’s difficult to discern any plot details from that, the description hints heavily at a handheld POV narrative device.  Bay is producing along with his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form.  Bay’s former Transformers PA Barry Glickert developed the story and will direct.

Great Footage of Transformers 3 Total Destruction

You may have heard this already, but part of Michael Bay’s Transformers 3 — notably one of the big final action set pieces — will take place in the heart of downtown Chicago. And while we don’t know, nor would we be interested in sharing, the details of the plot that lead the film to the Windy City, we do think it sounds like fun to see an epic war between alien robots and humanity break out in the same neighborhood where Christopher Nolan staged Gotham’s finest moments.

First Looks: Robot's from Transformers 3 UPDATED

 UPDATED!!!

Well, I've managed to confirm though highly knowledgeable sources that the pic below is not from TRANSFORMERS 3.
This said, I've been unable to confirm that it is from REAL STEEL - so who knows what the hell we're looking at. If I figure it out, I'll let you know.

Aintitcool.com got their hands on a new behind the scenes still from the set of Transformers 3 by director Michael Bay (Transformers, Armageddon, The Rock) and starring Shia LaBeouf (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Eagle Eye, Disturbia), Megan Fox (Red Sonja, Jonah Hex, The Crossing), John Malkovich (Red, Burn After Reading), Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy, Valentine’s Day) and Tyrese Gibson (Death Race, 2 Fast 2 Furious).

Orci and Kurtzman will not Write Transformers 3

The team of Orci and Kurtzman have taken a bow out on Transformers 3, choosing to leave to pursue other projects. This leaves a job opening to pen Bay’s next scene of giant robots making splodey messes and selling GM cars.

Michael Bay Says Not So Fast Paramount!

Woops. Someone at Paramount heard wrong. Yesterday news that Transformers 3 had been scheduled for a July 1st, 2011 release date, alongside a number of other exciting movies. But apparently Paramount jumped the gun. Michael Bay posted the following on his own official forums: "I said I was taking off a year from Transformers. Paramount made a mistake in dating Transformers 3 - they asked me on the phone - I said yes to July 4 - but for 2012 - whoops! Not 2011!!! That would mean I would have to start prep in September. No way. My brain needs a break from fighting robots." Will it be rescheduled?

I'm a bit amazed that such a huge mistake was made and that Paramount even announced the wrong date. Well, it falls in line with the exact pattern that Bay followed for the first two, so it could make sense that they'd push for the same two year schedule for the third sequel. Additionally, this is the first time Bay has ever followed through with a complete trilogy. He's only ever actually made one sequel - Bad Boys II - but this will be the first time he continues on. It's obvious that this is a passion project for him and that he was indeed born to direct Transformers. He just needs a break, too! So will they push it back to 2012?
