Milla Jovovich in Twohy's A Perfect Getaway
Chronicles of Riddick director David Twohy's latest film is thriller called A Perfect Getaway. It stars Milla Jovovich and Steve Zahn as two lovers on honeymoon in Hawaii who discover they're being stalked by a pair of killers, played by Kiele Sanchez and Timothy Olyphant. Seems like a twisted and tropical mix of Funny Games and The Strangers. This was originally supposed to hit theaters this week, but Universal has since pushed it back to mid-August. To keep us excited, Twohy himself has posted two photos of his leading ladies, Jovovich and Sanchez, over on his official blog, which are the very first photos from the film.
I don't know else to say about this, but I guess I'm curious? I'm wondering what the title, A Perfect Getaway, has to do with the story. Is it just saying that Hawaii was the perfect "getaway" vacation for these two or is there some secondary meaning to it? Twohy's blog is actually a pretty cool read. "After a 100% stage show like Riddick, I wanted to do something outdoors… So I got what I wished for, anyway, since APG wound up being 95% exteriors." We'll keep eye our out for more on this as the year progresses.

Jovovich Working in the Clock Tower

Martin Weisz is bringing this long-mooted project to life for Senator Entertainment and The Weinstein Company.

Shooting begins in November.

Resident Evil 4 on the way????

Well, maybe.
“Resident Evil: Extinction,” the third video-game to big screen adaptation in the popular series will likely not be the last, Anderson said, although talks for a fourth film are still in the very earliest stages of development.
“I’m just starting to talk to Sony about it,” Anderson confessed. “I don’t even know if anything will come of it, but there’s a possibility it might happen.”
It would seem like a sure thing given the ending of “Extinction,” which saw Alice (Milla Jovovich) beside herself with rage — literally, thanks to hundreds of perfect clones - promising to travel to the Umbrella Corporation’s headquarters in Japan. But Anderson, who scripted the first three films, says a concrete story hasn’t yet been decided upon. In fact, it’s coming up with a plausible, kick-ass story that’s momentarily holding him up.
“I love the ‘Resident Evil’ franchise and we always try to make the best possible movie we can. If we could find a good ‘Resident Evil 4’ to make, then we would do it,” he said. “But I wouldn’t just do it for the sake of it, that’s for sure.”
So now we’re throwing it out to you: Think “Resident Evil 4” should be made? And, if so, tell us what you think the story should be. Sound off below.

Milla Jovovich Boards The 4th King

The Hollywood Reporter says that although project details are being kept under wraps, it is described as a fact-based thriller involving an ongoing unsolved mystery in Alaska, where one town has seen an extraordinary number of unexplained disappearances during the past 40 years and there are accusations of a federal cover-up.
Jovovich plays a woman investigating the disappearances in the town.
A late-June start is being eyed.
