Thanks to our friends from the UK at the great HeyUGuys blog, we have a brand new UK trailer for Edgar Wright's Scott Pilgrim vs. the World to feature today. It has quite a bit of new footage, mostly at the beginning, and a bit near the end, including: some full scenes with Scott's naggy (ex-)girlfriend Knives Chau (played by Ellen Wong) plus some hilarious lines from evil-ex #3 - Todd Ingram (played by Brandon Routh). I think I'm most looking forward to seeing Mary Elizabeth Winstead melt the hearts of millions of guys (including me) than anything else, except maybe the fight scenes?. But I've said enough - fire it up!
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is directed by brilliant British filmmaker Edgar Wright, of cult classics Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz previously. The screenplay was co-written by Edgar Wright and actor Michael Bacall and is based on the Oni Press comic book series of the same name. The story follows a Canadian boy named Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) who must defeat his new girlfriend's (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) seven evil exes in order to win her heart.
Universal is bringing Scott Pilgrim vs. the World to theaters everywhere on August 13th!
