Spectacular Fan Posters for 'The Dark Knight Rises'

In the past few weeks, no film has received more posters than The Dark Knight Rises. The recent marketing blitz began with the disappointing “final” U.S. poster, the general consensus being that the one-sheet appeared amateurish at best. Perhaps to counteract the negative buzz, Warner Bros. followed that poster with six character posters, four epic banners and one secret Catwoman poster unveiled by a QR code on the ill-received “final” poster.

Even Christopher Nolan and an imprisoned Joker got their own poster, and I would love to have each and every one of them on my wall. Meanwhile, the rest of the internet has been busy making their own posters, and some of them are good enough to be found in your local movie theaters, and at the very least, look better than that explosive orange poster.

Best of the Mainstream
With little to no editing, these Dark Knight Rises posters could pass as official studio one-sheets, displaying a mainstream, cinema-friendly style.

“RISE”
Few sets of character posters have attracted as much attention as Warner Bros.’ official “Rise” series featuring Batman, Bane and Catwoman. Hence, fans – particularly Messenjah Matt – have created “Rise” posters for pretty much all of the film’s supporting cast members – even the Gotham City police officer whose hat gets blown off by The Bat. The only missing faces from the series seem to be those of Mayor Anthony Garcia and oddly enough, Bruce Wayne.

Note: The remaining, potentially “spoilerish” entry in the series is located here.
