Now that Christopher Nolan’s masterpiece, Inception, is out of the way, the rumor wheel has started to rotate once again regarding The Dark Knight future sequel. Today’s newest rumor gives us The Riddler as Batman 3′s main villain, and what actor might actually get to play him.
FirstShowing.net has gotten word from a reliable inside source with access to a studio casting grid that The Riddler is in fact listed as a character in the impending comic book movie sequel. “Even more interesting, the actor currently listed in the same grid to play the assumed villain is none other than Joseph Gordon-Levitt, whose status is just listed as ‘interested.’”
Rumors, rumors, rumors. Gotta love them. If this rumor/news turns out to be the real thing, I’ve got no problem at all with it. Christopher Nolan has always been a fan of puzzles, dreams and mind games. Inception is the latest example of that. It makes sense that Batman 3 would include one of the most iconic Batman villains, who in deed loves puzzles and mind games. Add to that, JGL possibly playing the role? Awesome. JGL is a great young actor, and I have no doubt he would give a great original performance. All we need now is for them to confirm something at least.
