Man, Renny Harlin was sunk low - reeeeeeeal low.
The once in-demand action director of the Clinton era - responsible for such hits as "Die Hard 2" and "The Long Kiss Goodnight" - has agreed to helm the next WWE movie. They must've been offering up Finnish soup for lunch?
Called "12 Rounds" it'll star John Cena (from WWE's "The Marine"), Steve Harris, Aidan Gillen and Brian White.
Having Harlin onboard means the production has a few extra dollars to play with and as a consequence, they're shooting in the U.S - first time ever for a WWE production - rather than somehow less pricey, like Australia.
The film, which centers on a New Orleans police detective (Cena) whose girlfriend is kidnapped (didn't we see this already? wasn't this "The Marine"?!), starts Feb. 25 in New Orleans.
