The prize -- voted for online between Jan. 31 and Feb. 15 -- was organized by the Richard Attenborough Film Awards and is the kudofest's seventh and final prize.
The six main Attenborough awards, selected by the U.K.'s regional film journalists, were announced Jan. 31 and were dominated by Joe Wright's "Atonement," which won four.
The public were invited to cast their votes on an industry selected list of 30 pics including "No Country for Old Men," "La Vie en Rose," "The Lives of Others" and "Atonement."
The Attenboroughs are organized by Cinema Days, the U.K. trade events body for regional staff and freelance journalists working in all the media.
