Bruce Willis Getting Sued Over “Three Stories About Joan”

Looks like Bruce Willis is getting sued over, and is suing over a project called “Three Stories About Joan”.

Here’s the thing. Film producers are desperate to get “names” attached to their projects to make them stand out… and when you finally get a “name” attached you use that name to get other people involved, to get distributors interested and get other “names” interested as well. Basically, getting a “name” can make or break your project, especially when it’s a name like Bruce Willis.

At the same time, talent like Bruce Willis takes a big risk when they commit to a project. They have to block out weeks or months of time… time they could be working on other project and making millions of dollars. It means they have to turn down other big projects that come along because they’re already committed. So if the project you’re committed to suddenly falls through, they can be out millions of dollars.

So it appears the situation at hand goes something like this:

- The producers of “Three Stories About Joan” had an agreement with Bruce Willis to star in and direct.

- Bruce pulled out

- The Producers are suing Willis for $4 million for pulling out

- Bruce is going to counter sue saying the producers broke the agreement first by failing to put up money into an escrow on time

- It’s all basically a big mess.

If everyone is telling the truth here (which rarely happens) then I’m going to have to side with Willis on this. People in this business flake all the time, so if someone misses putting up money by a certain agreed upon deadline, then you have no option but to assume they’re gong to flake or be unable to meet their obligations.

Leaked Audio - Christian Bale vs. Shane Hurlbut UPDATED

I normally try to stay away from the more gossipy stories, but this thing is already everywhere. TMZ got their hands on audio of Christian Bale going ballistic on the set of Terminator Salvation when Shane Hurlbut, the director of photography, walked onto a set while a scene was being filmed. Bale threatens to kick Hurlbut’s ass and trash his lights, before saying he won’t return to set until he is fired. You can listen to the audio on TMZ.com.

Judge Says Fox Owns Rights to Watchmen!

Yikes -- Warner Bros. obviously landed on Santa's naughty list this year. The New York Times reports that the judge has ruled in favor of Fox Studios. Sayeth the Honorable Judge Feess "Fox owns a copyright interest consisting of, at the very least, the right to distribute the Watchmen motion picture."

This comes as quite a surprise since last we heard, the judge didn't have enough information to make a ruling, and was moving the trial to January 20th. Judge Feess indicated he would make a more detailed ruling soon.

Warner Bros. has declined to comment, and as of now, has not backed off the film's planned release date of March 6. I can hear you all crying (and I hope it's in your very best Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer voice) "There goes Watchmen, and there goes Christmas!" But it's highly doubtful Watchmen will lose its release date. There's no need to panic. Feess advised Fox and Warner Bros to look towards a settlement or appeal. "The parties may wish to turn their efforts from preparing for trial to negotiating a resolution of this dispute or positioning the case for review." So, expect a major payoff from Warner Bros. (and maybe those rumored Batman television show rights) to Fox in order that we'll still be at that March 6th show. And you thought a lump of coal was bad.

Gary Busey Apologizes To Jennifer Garner

Today the folks over at the Movie Blog discovered that Gary Busey has officially apologized for the whole thing. Here is what he had to say about the whole incident:

“I meant no disrespect to Ms. Jennifer Garner when I met her at the Oscars and apologize if I made her uncomfortable,” the 63-year-old actor said in a statement e-mailed Monday by a publicist for his attorney, Vicki Roberts. “I simply greeted both actresses with joy and open arms, which is the way I would greet anyone I’m happy to meet,” Busey said. “Everyone has experienced a handshake or hug which has turned awkward, and this was no different.”

It was definitely one of the most memorable moments during the Oscars this year. But the biggest question for me that still has not been answered is what the hell was Busey doing there anyway? Promoting The Gingerdead Man 2: The Passion of the Crust. Seriously. But I do have my own theory about how he gets around.

I think Gary Busey is some kind of drunken ninja. Yea, I know it sounds crazy but you have to remember we are talking about Gary Busey here. Nothing is impossible. The man is everywhere and is always obviously seriously drunk or on some mind altering drugs. If he is a ninja that easily explains how he gets everywhere so fast. He could have some serious ninja skills. Then again.. he could just be the Hunter S. Thompson of actors...

Pirates of the Caribbean 4 - 2011 True Or Not

I must say there is a little controversy about this matter whether is true or not. I even post this new on my blog a few days ago. But when i posted it on IMDB, a guy (QuintV) replied something denying this was true, because someone that calls him self ‘Terry Rossio’ wrote on a fan site forum the following.

“Hi everyone, Terry Rossio here, co-writer of the Pirates trilogy, and hopefully one of the co-writers for the possible Pirates of the Caribbean 4.

I just read through this thread and wow, I can’t tell you how amazingly cool it is that there is so much interest among fans for the Pirates series. I love the intense examination of every detail, that’s why we put them there (and without the fans, honestly, we’d have never been allowed to get away with making the films so complex). It’s a major thrill to see posts with excerpts at the bottom of lines we wrote …

All right, as for a Pirates 4, I feel compelled to write, and I don’t want to bum anyone out, as of now, nothing has been decided. No dates have been set, no actors committed, no topics set, etc. I can’t confirm or deny any rumors except to say they didn’t start with us.

The process is still this: a screenplay needs to be written, the studio needs to be convinced to make it, a director (Gore) has to want to direct it and actors have to choose to play the parts. As I’ve said before, I believe we will try to solve the problem of a fourth movie. It’s impossible to say, ahead of time, whether we’ll be successful.

Sorry for the completely non-informative post, but that’s the status. (Now, hopefully I won’t get in trouble from Disney for saying nothing …)

At first I didn’t believe this was actually written by Terry him self, but then he (QuintV) gave me reasons to believe that it might be true. But then Is AICN wrong and everyone else on the internet that is spreading this new World wide?

I do believe they are preparing another Pirates of the Caribbean, the questions are

When? And from where the hell this news came from?
