New UK Poster for SKYFALL

Eon Productions has debuted the latest poster (via ComingSoon) for James Bond's Skyfall, directed by Sam Mendes, starring Daniel Craig as 007.  They've gone back to the classy Bond we know, just posing him with Walter PPK in hand in front of the dark gun-barrel swirl and a hint of London's Union Jack. I quite like it, but it's not that original in design. See in full below!

First Look at Andrew Garfield in Costume as New Spider-Man!

It's here! After much arguing, debating, and waiting, we finally have our very first official look at Andrew Garfield in costume as Spider-Man in the new reboot of the superhero franchise being directed by 500 Days of Summer's Marc Webb. The photo was officially unveiled by Sony Pictures and Columbia Pictures testerday via Deadline (Thanks to MMDB reader Helder Chamba for the heads up ), meaning this starts their massive two-year marketing process, as the new Spider-Man won't arrive in theaters until July 3rd, 2012.  But with that said, it's an exciting and intriguing first reveal, and  one that I'm sure a lot of you guys might actually like. Len Wiseman to Direct Contemporary Remake of Total Recall

Len Wiseman (Live Free or Die Hard, "Underworld" films) is in final negotiations to direct Columbia Pictures' Total Recall, it was announced today by Doug Belgrad and Matt Tolmach, presidents of Columbia Pictures. The film will be a new, contemporized adaptation of Total Recall, which was based on the story, "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale" by Philip K. Dick. Kurt Wimmer is writing the screenplay. Neal H. Moritz will produce through his Original Film banner.

Columbia Pictures has released the teaser trailer for Steve Martin's The Pink Panther 2 online. Opening February 6, 2009, the Harald Zwart-directed comedy co-stars Jean Reno, Emily Mortimer, Andy Garcia, John Cleese, Alfred Molina, Molly Sims, Aishwarya Rai and Yuki Matsuzaki. Hancock Trailer 2#

Columbia Pictures has revealed the full new trailer for Will Smith's superhero action-comedy Hancock, opening in theaters on July 2. Directed by Peter Berg, the film co-stars Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman.

Edgy, conflicted, sarcastic, and misunderstood, Hancock's well-intentioned heroics might get the job done and save countless lives, but always seem to leave jaw-dropping damage in their wake. The public has finally had enough – as grateful as they are to have their local hero, the good citizens of Los Angeles are wondering what they ever did to deserve this guy. Hancock isn't the kind of man who cares what other people think – until the day that he saves the life of PR executive Ray Embrey (Bateman), and the sardonic superhero begins to realize that he may have a vulnerable side after all. Facing that will be Hancock's greatest challenge yet – and a task that may prove impossible as Ray's wife, Mary (Theron), insists that he's a lost cause.

Columbia Pictures Prepares for Battle

Columbia Pictures has preemptively picked up Battle: Los Angeles, a sci-fi script from screenwriter Chris Bertolini, for Neal Moritz to produce via his Original Films, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The story follows one Marine platoon's encounter in the battle against an alien invasion on the streets of Los Angeles.

"I love the idea, and I love the script. I like it all," Moritz said. "We are going to be in production within six months. What's attractive to me is that it's a huge event movie that can be done at a modest scale."

Bertolini wrote The General's Daughter.
